Lara Shomoye nee Iranloye, more commonly known as Lara Royal, is a Lagos born Nigerian artist and songwriter.Her love for music is inborn and she has been singing since a very young age. As she grew up, she became more interested in music and song writing, which led her to pursue a more professional music career.

Although, she is trained as an Accountant, Lara Royal has developed a musical career.Her musical path has privileged her to minister in fellowships, churches, musical groups and musical festivals and other gatherings. Having had the opportunity to serve as the head of a Praise Teamhas also helped her adapt to working with instrumentalists and other artists and has advanced her musical knowledge.

Lara Royal sought for a deeper and better way of affecting the lives of people of diverse cultures and religious backgrounds, around and beyond her domain. This quest for an improved method of reaching out to others brought about her desire to write songs that would minister to people worldwide and also to create inspiring and touching albums.

Lara Royal is unique in that nearly all of the songs she produces are inspired by the undiluted word of God and powerful revelations. Her songs incorporate quotations from the bible so that the lyrics are power-packed and effective for ministration.Lara Royal is not limited to one genre of music. She continues to increase the variety of her music, ranging from traditional Nigerian music, Fuji, soft rock, R&B, reggae, pop, soul and jazz. She aspires to reach out to all age groups, genders and geographical locations.

Lara Royal has worked with a number of producers since she began singing professionally and is now pleased to announce the release of an exciting, and power-packed new album, produced by the award winning Wole Oni.

Although there may be challenges, Lara Royal is convinced that she will never stop doing what gives her the most satisfaction and joy. She says that her singing is “not just entertainment” and prays that her work will continue to touch people’s lives positively.
