We were encouraged to hold on to His word, Isaiah 30 : 21 , which says; “ Your ears will hear a word behind you , “ This is the way , walk in it , ” whenever you turn to the right or to the left ” .

This week , the focus on the people , we choose to surround ourselves with .
Proverbs 27 : 6 says; “ Better are the wounds of a friend, than the deceitful kisses of an enemy.”

This passage shows the importance of being around the right people , in this case , truthful people.

These people prove that they have your best interest at heart by pointing out areas that need improvement .

They also serve as much needed mirrors , as they help us face the truth about ourselves, whether we want to or not .
Other Scripture references urge us to be grateful for these people.

“ The way of a fool seems right to him, but a wise man listens to advice ” (Proverbs 12 : 15 NIV) and “ Plans fail for lack of counsel , but with many advisors they succeed ” . (Proverbs 15 : 22 NIV) .

So, we are all advised to have truthful people in our lives , as they push us to have wholesome lives .
